Who are we?

After many years in the industry we have noticed a lack of information given in the city and too many misguided tourists who don't have a full understanding of what it is they are looking at. Together with other experienced Professional Guides and Tour Operators, Roman Candle Tours was created to give every visitor to Italy a chance to expand their knowledge making their experience so much more fulfilling and likely to make them go home with good reports and a smile on their face.

We work with some of the best guides in the business. Roman Candle Tour Guides all speak perfect English and are experienced, professional, enthusiastic, entertaining and of course, all have a passion for the art, history and culture of Italy. Our international team is able to meet the desires of our clientele while providing a truly authentic experience that cannot be matched by others in the industry. 

• We are English speakers of a very high standard, in fact, for many of us English is our mother tongue. If you don't understand what is being said, what's the point?
  
  
• We are residents who were either born or have been living in Italy for many years and we know a lot more than just the sites.
  
  
• We are university graduates and authorities on the areas which we guide. We have read almost every book on the subject, knowing each side of every story.

• We are not shepherds! We do NOT heard mass groups of tourists around the city. Our Semi Private tours in Rome allow a Max of 10 people in each group giving everyone the chance to interact with the guide, making every tour an intimate and fulfilling experience. However, if you have a group of more than 10 people please see our Large Groups section.
  
  
• We are not robots! Believe it or not, there is a human behind every response email! You are looking for an experience that is personal and informative, shouldn't your reservation and booking procedure be the same?
